Green Pasture Christian School

This is the place where your child grows in faith and learning.

This is more than just a school.

It's a Christ-centered community where children are taught to think deeply, serve joyfully, and walk boldly into the future God has for them.

A new way to educate our children.

At our school, education goes far beyond textbooks and test scores. Rooted in Christian values, we’re raising a generation of students who not only know their purpose but live it out with wisdom, character, and curiosity.

Faith and learning go hand in hand.

Our students receive a strong academic foundation in core subjects like math, science, language, and history—while also engaging deeply with Scripture, prayer, and Christian living. But what truly sets us apart is our commitment to hands-on, experience-based learning.

Questions you may have

What grade does the school serve?

This school year, we're serving students in Kindergarten through 5th grade! As our students grow, we'll continue to add higher grade levels—ensuring that no one ages out and every child can continue their education with us.

What will be the cost of tuition?

Tuition will be between $6000 and $6500 per year for the foreseeable future. Keeping tuition reasonable is a high priority!

Are you accredited by the state?

We are registered with the Maryland State Department of Education; however, registration is not the same as accreditation. At this time, we have chosen not to pursue accreditation for several reasons.

First, accreditation would require us to provide classroom instruction and graded assessments in subjects such as science and social studies. We believe these areas are best explored through real-world experiences in our community, rather than through traditional worksheets and tests. This approach allows us to minimize time spent on formal assignments and maximize time spent learning in nature and society.

Second, as a registered church school, we retain the freedom to shape our educational policies and curriculum without state control. While we comply with health, zoning, and safety regulations, our curriculum decisions remain guided by our mission and values.

If you have any questions about how this may affect your child's education, we welcome you to reach out!

What is the student-to-teacher ratio?

We will have one classroom of K-5 students integrated together! There are many benefits to these mixed classes and there are a lot of ways to still differentiate instruction to each student’s current level of understanding! Our student to teacher ratio will be 20:1!

Will you be offering co-op programs for homeschoolers?

We don't currently offer co-ops for homeschoolers, but it's something we may explore in the future as interest grows.

How we got started.

From a Chemistry major to a seasoned educator, my journey has been full of unexpected twists, challenges, and blessings that prepared me for something greater. Now, standing where I once taught Sunday School, I’m ready to pour my heart into opening a school and inspiring the next generation.
